Terms of Use — Rakjai

These Terms explain what you can expect from Rakjai and what we expect from you, both on this website (rakjai.com) and inside the Rakjai mobile app. They are written to be readable, and to comply with Colombian law as well as the consumer rules that apply where our users live.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you (“you”, “the User”) and DAKIBEN (“we”, “us”), established in Colombia, registered address Barranquilla, Colombia.
They cover the Rakjai mobile application, available on the App Store and Google Play (“the App”), and this website (“the Site”) — together, “the Service”.
By browsing the Site, downloading or using the App, or creating an account, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service. Questions can be sent to support@rakjai.com.
2. What Rakjai does
Rakjai is a tracking app for BL (Boys’ Love) and GL (Girls’ Love) dramas and series. It lets you:
- look up centralised information about BL/GL titles — score, seasons, episodes, cast and synopsis;
- keep a list of what you have watched and a watchlist of what you plan to watch;
- receive recommendations based on your preferences and activity inside the App;
- browse sections such as “Releases of the Month” and “Upcoming Titles”;
- receive push reminders about new episodes of series you actively follow;
- share posts about the series you follow with other users;
- manage a profile with photo, username, email, country and date of birth.
Rakjai is a tracking and discovery tool. It does not host, stream or play any episode or film, and it is not affiliated with the platforms on which those titles are available.
3. Who can use Rakjai
The Service is restricted to people aged 18 or over. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the date of birth you provide is accurate.
We may ask for additional verification, and we may suspend or delete any account that does not meet this requirement.
4. Your account
Full access to the App requires an account. You can create one with a username, email address, country of residence, date of birth and password, or by signing in with Apple or Google.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your profile information accurate. You can update it at any time from the profile section of the App.
If you believe someone else is using your account, write to support@rakjai.com as soon as you notice it.
5. Licence to use the Service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Rakjai on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial use.
The software, design, interface, the Rakjai name and logos belong to DAKIBEN or its licensors, and are protected by Colombian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, decompile or reverse engineer the App, remove proprietary notices, or create derivative works from it, except where mandatory law expressly allows it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of third-party rights;
- use bots, scraping or automated systems to extract catalogue data or overload our providers;
- circumvent the subscription or payment mechanisms;
- impersonate another person, or create an account on someone else’s behalf without their authorisation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or to the systems it connects to.
7. Your lists, posts and social features
Your lists, ratings and posts are yours. When you use the list, posting or sharing features, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within the Service and only to deliver the feature you asked for — for example, showing a list to a user you shared it with.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, or that harasses other users, actors, actresses or anyone referenced in the App. We may remove content that breaches this section.
Profiles and public content. Your profile is public. Comments, reactions and lists you mark as public can be viewed by other Rakjai users. You can make any list private, in which case only you can see it. You can follow other users and they can follow you.
8. Rakjai Premium
Rakjai offers a free tier with limited functionality and a paid tier, Rakjai Premium. The reference prices in effect when these Terms were published are:

These are standard App Store and Google Play price points in US dollars. The price you actually pay is the one the store shows at checkout, in the currency of your store account, and may differ because of currency conversion, local taxes withheld by Apple or Google, or the price tier available in your country. We may update these reference amounts from time to time.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, from your Apple Account or Google Play settings.
Billing and refunds. All purchases and renewals are processed exclusively by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your card or payment details. Refunds are governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies and must be requested directly from them.
Consumer withdrawal rights. Statutory withdrawal or retraction rights that apply where you live — such as the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases in the EU, which may lapse once you start using content you asked to receive immediately — are honoured through the store that processed your purchase.
Price and plan changes. We may change prices, benefits or billing cycles with reasonable advance notice by email or in the App. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
Cancellation. Cancelling stops the auto-renewal. It does not generate a pro-rated refund for the period already running, unless applicable law or the store’s policy says otherwise.
9. Catalogue data and third-party services
Editorial information about series, seasons, episodes and cast comes, in whole or in part, from The Movie Database (TMDB) under a commercial licence. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
We present that information in good faith, but we cannot guarantee that titles, episode counts, scores or release dates are complete, accurate or up to date. That data belongs to TMDB and/or its respective rights holders.
10. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Rakjai available and reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors, including those caused by third parties such as TMDB, Cloudflare, our cloud providers or the app stores.
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may end support for older operating system versions. Where a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the App when that is reasonably possible.
11. Warranties and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes the statutory rights and guarantees you have as a consumer under Colombian law or the mandatory law of your country of residence, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use or the inability to use the Service, including loss of lists or other user-generated content. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the six (6) months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Rakjai at any time by deleting your account from the profile section, or by requesting it at support@rakjai.com. Deleting the App alone does not delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if we detect fraudulent activity, or at the request of a competent authority. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription periods already paid.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 15 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Colombian courts — without prejudice to your right, as a consumer, to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where mandatory law allows it.
Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
